Testimonials

We always respect the privacy of our Clients, whilst some are willing for us to share photographs of their beautiful homes some would prefer us to share their positive feedback instead. We hope you find some reassurance on the service we provide by reading through some of the below testimonials.

Stuart Allcock acted as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor throughout, more importantly he became our trusted friend.  He guided us throughout helping us spend time and resource where it was needed to maximise value.  He personally identified solutions to a number of challenges and worked with the contractors and tradespeople to ensure the very highest standard of delivery.  He has an exceptional eye for detail and a very affable nature, a rare combination meaning nothing gets past him but everyone likes working with him.  Since this project we have pretty much begged him to manage a project we are now doing in North England, sadly it is too far from his other clients.  A great shame as there is simply nobody I would rather have work with us on any project. His fee was quite simply the best money we spent developing this house.

"We employed Tylers Consultancy to work client side on a new house build over an 20 month period. Their role was Project Management of a selected single tender contractor, R W Armstrong, and provision of full QS and Cost Consultancy services. With a build budget of £4 million, and using an innovative Velox ICF/poured concrete build technique, the house was completed on time, and within the budget. This was in no small part due to the work from the Tylers team. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tylers for a project of this nature and complexity."

“Stuart supported us on the 18 month rebuild of a derelict building which is now our home.  Throughout he stayed close to every detail both financial and design.  His conscientious and affable style meant that he was universally respected and listened to by architects, designers, contractors etc – enabling us to keep within time and cost; he took so much of the stress out of what was a very stressful project.  To us as clients he provided wise and welcome counsel and I came to trust and rely on him utterly, one phrase in particular sticks with me where he warned against being “penny wise and pound foolish” on a particular item – he was right.  Equally he found significant opportunity for value engineering which saved us money without compromising on the project.  The single biggest positive impact on our project was engaging Stuart and Tylers Consultancy – he is a class act”.

“Tylers Consultancy was appointed by me to help with the project management of the building of my new German Baufritz system build home.
Stuart Allcock was involved with checking and overseeing the contracts for the groundwork, engineering work, landscape gardening and the fitting out of a large green oak garage for which he arranged the tenders. He also gave me key advice regarding what was and was not zero rated for VAT.
Stuart Allcock’s supervision of all these areas was timely, detailed and meticulous. The scheme progressed smoothly thanks to his professionalism, often working alongside the Baufritz architect and project manager”.

"As innocent civilians with little time or experience to bring to the party.  We had little knowledge and a high degree of fear of falling victims to the tricks of the trade when we commissioned a new build.  From the tendering process, to breaking earth and through to the snagging at the end of the project we would have tripped up  many many times had Stuart and Tylers not been there to represent us as ‘the client’ to the builders. The net result was an excellent experience from start to finish and we always knew where we were at every stage both financially and in time line during the project.   Tylers’ presence in the process kept the builders on their toes in terms of detail and costings such that we actually came in under budget”.

‘An unusual journey from the ‘coalface’ to the ‘boardroom’ makes James uniquely skilled to hold simultaneously in his head both the macro and micro of the messy art that is building. Working with time poor private clients on their homes, like many of ours, requires not just a good project manager but the very best of people - somebody who can advise dispassionately, with professionalism but a calm bedside manner.’

“I have worked cooperatively with Tylers Consultancy on a number of high-end residential projects and find their attention to detail and responsiveness to our mutual client’s needs second to none. They work in a proactive and collaborative manner to ensure that every project is delivered on time and within budget. Tylers are a great team to work with, their professionalism and efficiency in communicating the detail is extremely reassuring for the client. I have no hesitation in recommending them”.
